NAIDOC Day 2017

NAIDOC Day 2017
Yesterday, our school held our annual NAIDOC Day celebrations. The purpose of NAIDOC day is to acknowledge and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture. The theme for this year was “Our Languages Matter” which highlights the importance of languages as an integral part of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.
Our Churchill community certainly know how celebrate through participation in various activities which incorporated the importance of language through song, dance, art, storytelling and games to name a few.
I’d like to thank our wonderful students, staff, parents, special guests and members of the wider community for their valuable contribution towards the day.
